Chart notes
A. K. SAFARI tracked the pace in early stages then took over the lead entering the far turn, was ridden along three to four wide into the upper stretch and kept clear under steady urging. WACO KID raced four wide around the first turn and settled off the early pace, launched a two wide bid at the furlong marker, responded and captured place. ZIGGY vied inside for the early lead, began to edge away on top then got collared by the winner, stayed on with response into the lane and got edged for place. OPLIN tracked the pace up the backstretch, was ridden along three to four wide out of the far turn and failed to kick on. BET YOU A BEER vied for the early lead with ZIGGY, weakened around the far turn and continued to tire in the lane. JUDGE PHILLIP M came up empty leaving the half mile marker. RACE WAS HAND TIMED
