Chart notes
W W COOKIE MONSTER pressed the pace on the outside up the backstretch, dueled from the two path around the turn, took over entering the stretch and drew off to the wire. MARK OF THE Z led the way between horses through the opening quarter of a mile, dueled while saving ground around the turn, could not go with the winner in the stretch and chased that rival to the wire. HOME BASE tracked the leaders on the inside up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn, swung out to the three path approaching the quarter pole and was outkicked in the lane while finishing evenly. HUEY ATTACK raced off the pace on the outside in the early going, navigated the turn from the two path, swung wide entering the stretch and flattened out in the final furlong. MALPAIS raced off the pace on the inside up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn and made no bid.
