Chart notes
PASS AND STOW set the pace racing in the two path early, dropped over to the rail, dueled inside on the turn, responded when asked, pulled away in upper stretch, widened and was in hand for the final yards. BALANTYNE stalked close up outside, bid three wide on the turn, dueled, could not go with the winner in the stretch, dug in and was clear for the place spot. JOHN JAY chased three wide, bid four wide at the quarter pole and rallied outside in the stretch drive. CHIEF ENGINEER vied outside for the early lead, dueled between rivals on the turn and weakened. INSPIRED MISCHIEF was bumped at the start, raced off the pace inside, rode the rail into the stretch and had no rally. STRATEGIC was bumped, off slowly and steadied, then chased between rivals, came three wide into the lane and had no rally. HE'S GOT JUMP raced off the rail, off the pace, came five wide into the lane and failed to threaten. JUST GOT STARTED was bumped at the break and off slowly, rushed up into contention on the inside, then chased and faded.
