Chart notes
VIOLIN MAKER was rated off the first flight outside a rival in the opening half, tipped out three wide entering the far turn, advanced between foes in that path racing through the stretch and produced a steady late response to just edge LIGHT CRUISER in time under firm encouragement. The latter was rated off the second flight while angling to the inside racing to the backstretch, tipped out racing into upper stretch splitting rivals just off the inside, moved to challenge for command leaving the furlong marker to lead between calls late and just missed. WHISKEY PLANK, urged inside rivals prompting the pace in the opening half, edged forward nearing the lane to gain a clear advantage but was collared by the top pair late. WHERE'D THE DAY GO tracked off the second flight outside a rival racing to the backstretch, shifted out four wide leaving the midway point of the far turn, then continued willingly in that path to close the gap. TOUR THE WORLD settled well off the leaders while angling nearer the inside racing to the backstretch, tipped off the inside entering upper stretch while being roused to advance and continued to make mild progress between foes to the end. EDGIE REGGIE tracked off the first flight along the inside racing to the far turn but came up empty in the drive. BIG MERRILL settled last racing to the backstretch and failed to menace. WARNING LABEL, urged between foes prompting the pace from the outset to the backstretch, was spent after a half. HONOR STRIKE, urged three wide early prompting the pace in the opening half, continued to press the issue outside a rival on the far turn and gave way into the lane.
