Chart notes
REY O REYES rated a short lead inside, came under pressure into the far turn, contested the edge nearest the rail through the turn, dueled clear mid-stretch and held on well with steady handling. FOURDIAMONDSPLEASE stalked off the rail, challenged leaving the seven sixteenths pole, contested at a close disadvantage two deep and between horses on the far turn, but dropped back mid-stretch and had to settle for second. SALTY J J stalked from the three path, picked up the chase leaving the seven sixteenths pole, raced at a close disadvantage three wide on the far turn then flattened the final sixteenth. PONTICELLO saved ground on the first turn, gave chase nearing the seven sixteenths pole, rounded the far turn off the rail and flattened in the lane. BLUE COLLAR BOY settled back in the two and three paths, left the first turn outside, gave chase nearing the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn about the five path and showed little in the lane. FEARNOUGHT rated close inside on the opening turn, gave chase leaving the half mile pole but faded through the backstretch.
