Chart notes
OUTERBANKS led the field from the two path through the second turn under pressure from the inside rival drifted out in mid stretch and held off challenge from outside rival for the win. FREIGHTRAINFREEMAN tracked the leader from the three path then made his bid in the upper stretch while being pushed out slightly from the drifting leader and lost the head nod. TOUCH OF GOLD pressed the pace from the inside just off the rail through the second turn and gave way at the eighth pole. XIETELEHUAS was off a step slow while saving ground throughout but never made a bid.
