Chart notes
GOLD BEAR saved ground moved to the lead after a half held off challenge from LIKEN IT in upper stretch then held off SUPER WISE in late stretch to get the win. SUPER WISE pressed the pace from the two path through the second turn then was in tight about the three sixteenths pole made a rebid to be second best. SENATOR CON was near the back in the two path made a middle move on the inside down the backstretch was boxed in at the upper stretch but was able to improve late. LIKEN IT went four to five wide through the backstretch made a four wide bid on the final turn and drew even with the leader at the quarter pole and weakened late in the drive. SIERRA HOTEL went in the three path around the first turn then was in the four path up the backstretch and failed to menace. ROBBER BARON was in the two path into the first turn to take a brief lead but was through after a half. THE JOCKEY OF SUPER WISE CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST GOLD BEAR FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE AT THE THREE SIXTEENTHS POLE AFTER STEWARDS REVIEW NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
