CHARLIE CHARLIE tracked the pace, moved up two and three wide through the turn, came three wide into the stretch, made a steady gain and drew off inside the furlong marker. CANDY MY BOY allowed to settle, saved ground through the turn, came through inside of rivals, made a steady gain, split foes and edged up for the place. PIONEER DANCER allowed to settle, moved up two and three wide through the turn, came three wide into the lane, angled out while gaining and missed the place. COOPER'S CRESCENT rated outside the pace, moved up to gain a short lead through the turn, then weakened the final furlong and held a share. ANOTHER SOFTBALL mid pack, gained position three and four wide through the turn, came four wide into the stretch and had no rally. GOLDEN EMPEROR set the pace on the inside and faded the final furlong.
