Chart notes
SILVER GALAXY was unhurried early, then saved ground down the back stretch to bid three wide on the far turn, dug in gamely and was up in the final strides. PIVOLIN was unhurried early then swung out five wide on the far turn to surge down the stretch lane and was up for the place winnings. HERN broke well to set the pace along the rail, was in a long drive, cleared the far turn, then continued to bid down the lane but gave way in the end. CLOSE TO MIDNIGHT was well placed while two wide, was in a steady drive down the backstretch, then made a mild bid on the far turn but weakened in the final furlongs. BIG POWER RED chased the pace while two wide, then dropped back on the backstretch, made a mild bid in upper stretch but was no threat. TENSAS TODDY steadied early, then chased the pace from the inside and failed to rally. V. I. P. WHO chased the pace while four wide, then dropped back on the far turn and failed to menace.
