Chart notes
TAX CODE dueled between horses up the backstretch, continued to battle from the two path around the turn, wore down his rivals in late stretch and held off a late closer to the wire. BABALO'S BOY hit the gate and bumped with the horse to his outside leaving the gate, trailed the field through the opening quarter of a mile, began to improve position while saving ground around the turn, and continued to gain ground while drifting in the final furlong. NIC'S BRO hopped up and bumped with the horse to his inside at the break, settled in the middle of the pack for the run up the backstretch, began a bid from the three path approaching the quarter pole and gained ground late. ADIOS GARY dueled on the inside up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn gave way in the final furlong. EL BAILADOR pressed the pace on the outside up the backstretch, navigated the turn from the two path and was outkicked in the lane. WIN NO JOKE raced in the middle of the pack on the outside in the early going, raced four and five wide around the turn, was forced out mildly when BABALO'S BOY drifted out in midstretch and was outkicked from there while finishing evenly. MOKO JUMBIE raced at the back of the pack on the outside up the backstretch, navigated the turn from the two path and came up empty in the stretch. SENOR GEE raced off the pace between horses in the opening stages, came around the turn in the three path and offered no bid.
