Chart notes
VIDMER'S COURAGE gave chase and took the lead two deep midway on the turn, dug in under steady encouragement and held on well. DOC ELM chased, rounded the turn about the three path then dueled for second mid-stretch. CLUBIN TILL DAWN was reluctant in the post parade, gave chase through the backstretch, rounded the turn about the three path, drifted into the lane and relented in the duel for second. MR. HOSTLER was hustled clear while tapering to the inside and set a pressured pace, gave up the lead at the rail midway on the turn and faded inside the eighth pole. DOCTOR MCCOY gave chase, ran at the rail on the turn and showed little more. REY O REYES chased the early pace inside but steadied at the rail past the five sixteenths pole. JUST GETS BETTER stumbled and lost his rider leaving the gate. The Stewards reviewed the start of this race.
