Chart notes
COASTLINE SERMON was bumped from both sides at the start, then rushed up three-wide to be prominent early, gained a slight lead nearing the eighth pole and proved narrowly best in a prolonged drive. DENNARD broke out to bump with the winner at the start, then was allowed to settle in stride, moved up along the inside to join the leaders nearing the stretch and then just miss is a stiff drive. SMOKE AND BURN broke in to bump the winner at the start, then was unhurried early, rallied five-wide into the stretch and finished fast. PARTY FOR ONE was forwardly placed from the start, offered a four-wide bid entering the stretch and then hung. BENNY THE JET set the pace while racing slightly off the rail to the stretch and tired. EDDIE AND THE KING was prominent early while racing along the outside, but hand no response when asked.
