Chart notes
GOLDEN MERGER settled off the leaders early, moved five-wide through the turn, responded to steady handling and was up in the final strides. ONE WARRIOR disputed the pace while racing three-wide, opened a clear margin into the lane but could not resist the winner from over the top. QUARTANO was reserved just off the leaders early, moved four-wide through the turn and lacked the needed closing response. MY BAD was off slow, lagged far back, saved ground through the turn and was not a factor. I AM THE JUAN was away in good order to duel for the lead from the inside and weakened after going a half.
