Chart notes
CALDINHO never far back, closed with a burst of speed under left handed urging in the six path, made the lead inside the sixteenth pole, drew clear, was injured past the wire pulling up and vanned off. SMUDGE THE CAT away alertly, set the pace with a clear advantage into the stretch, widened before the furlong marker then couldn't handle the late charge of the winner. C C'S CLEAR CREEK chased the pace from the inside and went evenly. ON HIS TOES had good early speed between horses then faded. PRACTICAL MAN passed tiring rivals. CASH CUSTOMER offered a mild bid five wide into the turn then came up empty. DUKE OF FENWAY chased the pace four wide and was through early. FARMHAND stumbled at the start, flashed speed and stopped.
