BOX STEP lagged back off leaders to far turn, split foes past the quarter pole with an all out effort to prevail. COPPER BEECH never far back, off rail to far turn, rallied in the stretch but just missed. OPHA MAY no speed to the half, put to a drive into the far turn with no response but settled as best of the rest in the third spot. DEVIL'S ADVOCATE dueled to the half, led past quarter pole but weakened in the stretch run. LEJEUNE dueled to the quarter pole, gave way with little resistance. MILWAUKEE CAT had a steady fade throughout.
