SILVER DASH, caught in tight quarters momentarily at the start, was rated inside foes in early stages, advanced to contention along the rail racing into the turn, tipped off the inside to split foes nearing upper stretch challenging for command, quickly wrested the advantage, then shook clear while angling back to the inside and widened under pressure. BIG MERRILL was rated off the second flight between foes in the opening stages, angled to the inside entering the turn gaining position, tipped out nearing upper stretch following the winner's path into the stretch and proved best of the others. COURAGEOUS TIMMY, reserved between foes in the last flight racing to the turn, split foes racing into upper stretch and continued willingly to gain position three deep between foes to the end while earning a share. HIGHTAIL COWBOY tracked off the first flight from just out of striking distance in the three path racing to the turn, altered inwards nearing upper stretch avoiding a stricken rival but offered no closing bid. BRASKA was a bit outpaced in early stages while angling to the inside, saved ground to upper stretch gaining some position but had no closing bid. DAREABIGDREAM broke outwards at the start into the path of the eventual winner, was hustled to the lead along the inside through the backstretch, set the pace through the bend but gave way abruptly once headed by the winner. YOU'LL BE LUCKY was settled outside foes in the last flight racing to the turn, shifted out four wide leaving the turn, jumped a fallen rival approaching the three sixteenths marker and was taken in hand racing through late stages. HPNOTIQ RHYTHM tracked the pace outside rivals in second flight racing to the turn, was caught four wide nearing upper stretch while being prompted to advance, fell over MALINTENT nearing the three sixteenths marker dislodging his rider, but was collected after the race and walked off the course. MALINTENT was urged along prompting the pace outside a rival through the backstretch into the turn, tipped to the three path nearing upper stretch, suffered an apparent catastrophic injury approaching the three sixteenths marker while falling to the track and was vanned off the course following the race. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE INCIDENT AT THE TOP OF THE STRETCH BUT TOOK NO ACTION.
