Chart notes
SECOND OF JULY came out at the start, tracked the pace three wide early, was in the three path into the lane, took over command, drew clear in the stretch and held sway in the final stages. POLICY OPTION was bumped at the start and raced back early on, was in the three path into the lane, made a bid down the lane from the inside and had some late gain in the winner in the final stages. ENDLESS SUNSET was unhurried early on, raced in the six path into the lane, rallied down the lane and was gaining in the late stages. BLUE JAYS trailed the field early on, was in the six path into the lane while making a bid but flattened out late in the stretch run. HIGHESTDISTINCTION was bumped at the start, stalked the pace early four wide, was in the five path into the lane and weakened late in the stretch drive. PICO D'ORO was bumped early along the backstretch, stalked the pace early from between horses, was in the two path into the lane and faded down the lane. CRITICAL THREAT was through after a half. KINGMEISTER set the pace for a half then folded up.
