Chart notes
HEREDIA BOXER saved ground setting the pace, opened clear when ready and was taken in hand coming to the wire winning with something left. ETHAN'S ANIMAL stalked the pace while racing along the inside, angled out four-wide entering the stretch and finished strongly when clear. NAVAL ESCORT saved ground while being unhurried early, slipped through during the drive and was making up some ground late. IDIDNTSEETHATCOMIN prompted the pace from along the outside for a half mile and weakened. ALPINE HYPNOSIS was unhurried early, swung out to be five-wide nearing the quarter pole and was not a factor. BUHM'S CANDY BOY dropped back off the pace early and failed to threaten.
