Chart notes
LUFTY'S KISSES settled back in the three path the opening turn then stalked four wide into the backstretch, bid past the three eighths pole, took the lead in the three path midway on the far turn, dueled clear mid-stretch and held on well. WALK THE BANK rated close toward the inside, picked up the chase nearing the seven sixteenths pole, rounded the far turn near the rail and dug in from the top of the lane to get the nod for second under the wire. IN THE GOSPEL rated close off the rail, gave chase leaving the seven sixteenths pole and raced off the rail on the far turn, briefly occupied second in mid-stretch but was nipped from that position under the wire. HENRY STANDINGBEAR saved early ground then steadied while being eased out midway on the opening turn, picked up the chase from the three eighths pole, ran in the three path of the far turn, left the turn outside and passed rivals widest. STRONG SAFETY took over nearing the three quarter pole and angled to the inside to rate the pace, came under pressure leaving the three eighths pole, gave up the lead at the rail miday on the far turn then weakened inside the eighth pole. ROCK FILE settled off the rail on the opening turn and raced close into the backstretch, gave chase from the three eighths pole but flattened in the three path of the far turn.
