Chart notes
CLAYTON DELANEY broke in and bumped rival, dropped back early, moved forward then lacked room behind rivals on the turn, took aim four wide into the stretch, bid between and went up to take control, cleared midstretch and drew away in the furlong grounds. ALPINE THUNDER raced up close early from the outside, challenged three deep on the turn, got floated six into the stretch, fought to midstretch then edged out QUICK FINISH for the place honors. QUICK FINISH stalked the pace from off the rail, got floated seven wide leaving the turn, bid at the top of the stretch, could not kick on the winner approaching the final furlong and got edged for second. SHADY EMPIRE bobbled, bumped then clipped heels leaving the gate, went between rivals into the turn, lacked room and steadied off heels around the bend, came three wide into the stretch and flattened to fourth. STARSHIP CHEWBACCA forwardly placed early on from inside, saved ground through the bend and weakened down the lane. CROSSKIRK pressed from outside then vied between while taking over at the three-eighths pole, drifted five wide into the lane, lost command at the top of the stretch and folded.
