Chart notes
HOMETOWN HERO prompted the pace two wide, led entering the lane, repelled ONCOMING TRAIN's inside bid leaving the furlong grounds, and drew clear through the final sixteenth. ONCOMING TRAIN stalked in the two path while in the pocket behind the leaders, searched for racing room while following HOMETOWN HERO as that foe claimed an advantage entering the lane, tipped in and committed to split rivals two wide at the furlong grounds in hopes of bidding for the lead inside of the aforementioned foe, but failed to match strides with that one entering the final sixteenth. THUNDERHEART set the pace inside of a vying HOMETOWN HERO, but was headed at the quarter pole, and yielded while losing place leaving the furlong grounds. NINETIES COUNTRY stalked outside of the top pair, but only managed to chase them in upper stretch before fading through the final furlong. MULBERRY STREET trailed early on, took the turn in the two path while off of the pace, shifted out to the five path turning for home, then failed to factor while hanging on his left lead. MR. HALFTIME laid off of the pace in the three path, tucked to the rail nearing the turn, and was outrun thereafter.
