Chart notes
HOLDING PATTERN was allowed to settle behind the pacesetter up the backstretch came two wide on the turn to engage for the lead took the lead inside the eighth pole and held off the late run of Chuck Nazty in a game effort. CHUCK NAZTY was slow to settle spotting the field two lengths at the break came through along the inside on the turn angled out for the drive and was gaining but could never go by Holding Pattern and had to settle for second. HOT ARTIE showed the best early speed and sprinted to a good lead but gave way in the stretch. COLORADO CANDY was allowed to settle off the pace on the inside but never mounted a serious rally. WHERE'S FREDDIE was well off the pace for most of the race made a mild bid on the outside but was never a serious threat. BARLOWS PRIDE was away well and allowed to settle behind the leaders on the inside but steadily faded. HANDY BOY raced in the two path up the backstretch and tired in the stretch.
