Chart notes
BLURT chased the pace from the inside, was well rated on the backstretch then angled out four wide on the far turn to menace coming into the lane, took the lead at the sixteenth pole and was held to task. RYE RUNNER tracked the pace while two wide on the back stretch, then vied for the lead on the far turn and was closing well in the stretch and held for place. GOLDEN FLASH set the pace two off the rail, was in a long drive coming into upper stretch then faltered in the final furlong. SAINT PIO chased the pace while three wide then vied for the lead coming into the stretch but flattened out in the end. RUNNIN THE RED was unhurried early and failed to menace. BENISSIMO stumbled at the start then was unhurried early and failed to respond.
