CANTANKEROUS CAT dueled between rivals for the lead, dueled on the turn, gained a short lead at the eighth pole and then drew clear, driving. CRACK THE CODE settled off the pace inside, rallied on the rail in the stretch, finished well but second best. CHIEF ENGINEER dueled inside for the lead, dueled on the turn, dug in gamely inside of the winner in upper stretch, then weakened. JONNY QUIST raced off the pace inside, closed belatedly on the rail and was up for fourth. JUST GOT STARTED dueled three wide for the lead, dueled on the turn and tired. DADASHEV was bumped and steadied at the start, raced off the rail, off the pace, came three wide into the lane and failed to rally. HI MILLIE was bumped and steadied at the start, then outrun.
