Chart notes
THE ALL BUTTON away well and stalked the dueling leaders in the run down the backstretch while saving ground along the inside, rallied smartly from along the rail through the final turn, and closed determinedly two wide in the drive to get up in the closing strides. BILLS SMOKN BULLET away alertly and vied for the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace from the inside of LITTLE GROOT in the run down the backstretch and through the final turn, and just failed to last in a game effort. SANAWAR lagged well off the contested early pace while racing one out from the rail entering the backstretch, launched his bid two wide entering the final turn, and finished full of run three wide in deep stretch to get up for a share. LAUGH WITH ME lagged well off the early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the backstretch, rallied from along the inside entering the final turn, and found his best stride late while finishing seven wide in the drive. ALWAY'S A KNIGHT settled off the early pacesetters while saving ground at the rail entering the backstretch, rallied smartly three wide through the final turn while looming a threat, but failed to sustain that bid in the drive. WE'RE IN COMMAND lagged well off the early pace while racing four wide into the backstretch, rallied three wide entering the final turn, was carried out entering the lane, and finished five wide in the stretch drive. LITTLE GROOT broke sharply and dueled for the lead from the outside of BILLS SMOKN BULLET entering the first turn, continued to force the issue from the outside of that foe in the run down the backside and through the final turn, was unable to keep tabs on his pace rival entering the lane, and faded in the stretch drive. BLUEGRASS ANGUS stalked the dueling leaders into the backstretch while racing one out from the rail, rallied two wide through the final turn, but came up empty in the lane. Following the running of this race there was a trainer's claim of foul. The trainer of WE'RE IN COMMAND lodged a claim of foul against the rider of LAUGH WITH ME, for alleged interference entering the first turn. After review the claim of foul was disallowed, and no change was made to the original order of finish.
