Chart notes
FUNKENSTEIN tracked three to four wide on the first turn, angled widest entering the stretch, reeled in the runner-up at the sixteenth pole and drove clear. TOM BOMBADIL vied for command inside a pair of rivals cleared late on the far turn, drifted into the stretch, drifted out further in the lane, continued clear entering the final furlong but was run down at the sixteenth pole and churned on for a clear second. HOOP DREAM went up to vie for the lead between rivals, lost contact with the leader with five-sixteenths left to run, came four wide into the stretch, could not summon a late response in the final furlong but saved the show. ME MACHO stalked the pace from inside early, went two wide into the far turn, swung out leaving the second bend but could not rally. DIVINE FEMININE tracked in the two path early, traveled near the inside into the far turn then came to wide into the stretch and could not rally. HOODLUM broke a bit slow, settled near the inside, angled out on the far turn and failed to menace. BRAVESTONE vied three deep for command, chased the leader past the five-sixteenths pole and raced wide into the stretch, then faded in the drive. SUPER CLASSIC raced three to four wide around the first turn, angled in on the second bend and failed to make an impact.
