Chart notes
GLOBAL SENSATION showed good early speed to set the early pace, raced well clear at the eighth pole and held gamely under steady handling. STEADY JOHN was off slow, settled off the early pace, made an advance through the far turn, raced near the inside in the stretch run and got up for the place position late. MOTAWAAFEQ stalked the pace, moved up three wide near the quarter pole, raced five deep at the three sixteenths pole and kept on willingly to the wire. WHIZWIT tracked the early leader down the backstretch while racing in hand, was hard ridden nearing the three eighths pole and weakened in the drive while raced four wide. BLACK LIMO was unhurried early on, raced towards the inside and lacked a bid. SILVER R stalked the pace, raced four wide near the seven eighths pole, raced five wide through the upper stretch and tired. FIRST EMPEROR was allowed to settle along the inside down the backstretch, lost ground and had no response. ANDOLINI was forced five wide near the seven eighths pole, raced at the back of the pack early and trailed.
