Chart notes
SMARTY JOHN stalked the pace around the turn, advanced in the two path approaching the stretch, secured command in upper stretch, was put to a drive and eagerly pulled away. PER DIEM bumped QUINCANNON when bearing out at the break, stalked the pace, eased out to the three path leaving the turn, chased the winner to upper stretch and gave way. TWICE GOLD , squeezed back leaving the starting gate, hugged the inner rail through the stretch and passed tired horses. QUINCANNON , bumped leaving the starting gate, raced along the inner rail on the turn, eased out for the drive but was no factor. BLAMEITONTHEFUN raced in the two path on the turn and retreated the final furlong. COVERT KAT , outrun, raced three deep on the turn then drifted four wide in upper stretch. TAKE CHARGE TOO rushed to a long, early lead, set the pace along the inner rail, gave way in upper stretch and drifted out near the eighth pole.
