Chart notes
RIVER CACTUS was allowed to settle in opening stages and rated off the early pace, raced four wide around the far turn then launched a five wide into the lane, took command a furlong out and edged away. SEE THE PYRAMIDS was unhurried and raced off the pace, picked up the tempo two wide late on the far turn, shifted five wide in upper stretch and finished with good response. PRIVATE LAKE checked sharply along the rail on the first turn, lost position then recovered quickly and tracked the top pair through the backstretch, launched a three to four wide bid at the quarter pole, continued up close a furlong out then evened out. TOUGH COMPANY rated off the pace, made a move late on the backstretch gained closer contention around the far turn, raced in traffic a furlong out then angled in and ran on evenly. WILLTOBELUCKY lacked speed and trailed in the back, saved ground then came three wide into the lane and had a mild improve. PINSON dueled for the lead around the first turn and up the backstretch, continued to battle into the upper stretch then came up empty in the final furlong. ONOMATOPOEIA dueled outside up the backstretch, continued to battle turning for home then tired in the drive. IOWA NATIVE vied inside of rivals through the backstretch, continued to battle for command around the far turn then faded in the lane.
