Chart notes
CATCH THE SMOKE stalked two wide, tracked the leaders on the turn, made a strong three wide bid at the quarter pole, took charge and drew clear under urging. ONE WHIRLWIND RIDE chased on the inside, angled out entering the stretch and then rallied inside for second. R BOY CHEEKUM steadied at the start, raced off the pace inside, two wide on the turn, came three wide into the lane and rallied mildly outside. MUGSY MALONE dueled two wide for the lead, dueled on the turn and weakened. DISTORTED LIMITS raced off the rail, off the pace and failed to respond. FLATTER ME dueled inside for the lead, dueled on the turn and faded. SAILOR SPEED was outrun.
