Chart notes
SPIRIT MISSION pressed the pace from the two path around the first turn, moved up to duel for the lead while racing up the backstretch, was held firmly in place while saving ground around the turn and raced gamely in the lane to edge clear late. HECOULDGOALLTHEWAY led the way between horses around the first turn, dueled on the outside up the backstretch and around the second turn, continued to battle gamely in the stretch and gave way in the final sixteenth of a mile. ALLEYCAT raced off the pace in the three path through the opening half mile, navigated the far turn from the two path and improved position on the outside in late stretch while never threatening. BUXTERHOOTER raced in the three path around the first turn, continued up the backstretch in the middle of the pack on the outside, came around the far turn in the two path and improved position mildly in the lane but was never a threat. BONITA RAPIDS raced in the three path around the first turn, chased the leaders on the outside up the backstretch, navigated the far turn from the two path and faded in the stretch. YAK trailed the field from the two path around the first turn and up the backstretch, saved ground around the second turn and was empty from there. JUST ASK JOEL saved ground around the first turn, raced in the middle of the pack on the inside up the backstretch and around the far turn and faded in the stretch. BOURBON TAN saved ground around the first turn, continued up the backstretch in the middle of the pack between horses, began to drop back while saving ground around the far turn and continued to tire from there.
