Chart notes
FRIAR LAURENCE stalked the top pair from the outside, backed a bit off of them approaching the far turn, inched closer under urging turning for home, bid three wide at the quarter pole, battled with an inner CHASING TIME through upper stretch, then gained an advantage at the furlong pole, and kicked clear. CHASING TIME rushed inside of foes through the chute to duel for the lead inside of LUCKY SHOT, clung to an advantage turning for home as an outer FRIAR LAURENCE joined the fray, resisted that foe's bid through upper stretch, but was headed at the furlong grounds, yielded, and held place late. BLUE KENTUCKY trailed four wide, surpassed inner rivals turning for home before coming into the lane in the six path, and stayed on. RED LABEL tracked along the inside, saved ground around the turn, but to no avail. TOUGH TO TAME chased from midpack while under urging two wide and between horses, then was through turning for home. LUCKY SHOT sparred for the lead outside of CHASING TIME, but weakened between horses leaving the quarter pole.
