Chart notes
RUNAWAY PRINCESS was sent for the early lead and set pressured fractions through the turn, shook free in upper stretch and kicked clear in the final stages. MACHO CHROME was bumped at the start by OBVIOUS, tracked the pace to the turn, advanced outside of rivals nearing the quarter pole, was unable to match strides with the winner in the drive and was outfinished, while holding for second in the end. UNION GIG was a bit slow into stride early on, gained ground on the turn, continued that advance into upper stretch and was outkicked in the final stages, while clear for third. SNOW HILL chased the early pace, gained ground along the rail on the turn, was unable to sustain that bid in the drive and gave way in the final furlong. OBVIOUS bumped MACHO CHROME leaving the start, showed speed and pressed the moderate pace through the turn, lost position in upper stretch and weakened in the final stages. GALLO DEL CIELO broke out at the start and spotted the field leaving the break, lacked speed through the turn and was not a factor.
