CHESS'S DREAM was taken in hand early, pulled keenly on the bit under restraint in the two path around the first turn, was reserved off the pace, traveled in the two path around the far turn, was asked at the quarter-pole, moved out in pursuit of the leader in upper stretch, chased behind that foe into the final sixteenth, found clearance in front late and was gaining at the wire but just missed the place while able to get the show.
