Chart notes
BRATTON tracked the early leader down the backstretch, moved up two to three wide in the stretch run and finished well to edge clear late under strong pressure. MOHAYMEN HOLIDAY showed good early speed from the outside to cross over to the rail to set the early pace, dug in near the eighth pole but couldn't match strides with the winner late to finish second best. TAPADINE stalked the pace from the outside, moved up four wide near the three sixteenths pole and made a good late gain. CAPITAL JOKE stalked the pace, raced along the inside at the quarter pole, shifted three to four wide and had no final response. SPEIGH AMONGST US stalked the early going, raced towards the inside and had not enough. EXCAPING THE BLUES was forced to check sharply early down the backstretch, raced four to five wide in the drive and lacked a rally. BAY BE GONE was unhurried early on, raced five into the upper stretch and never threatened. WI SAPA was slow early and never threatened. RAIL TOWN settled off the pace, checked in the early stages, raced three wide and never was a factor. HE SAID WAIT checked near the half mile pole and tired.
