Chart notes
NOTACATBUTACARD set the pace on the inside, shook clear through the turn, then drew off in the stretch and was kept to the task. SMOOTH PAPA mid pack, looped up four wide through the turn, fanned widest into the stretch and edged up for the place. PERFETTO stalked the pace on the outside, lost some ground on the two path through the turn, came through inside, then could not gain and held the show. FIRST CRUSADER well placed and outside, held position three wide through the turn, bid on that path into the lane and weakened the final furlong. CAPTAIN D allowed to settle, looped 3w through the turn, angled in and came through inside, then ran evenly in the lane. HOUSE LIGHTS well placed and off the rail, lost some ground two and three wide through the turn, came three wide into the stretch and faded. BALK passed a tiring rival. CAPTURED BY FATE veered in leaving the chute, steadied, then steadily lost ground.
