Chart notes
PORTSMOUTH was coaxed along from the outside while racing three wide down the backstretch, took aim near the eighth pole and finished strongly to edge clear under strong handling. PRIZE FIGHTER pressed the early leader, took command to race in hand around the far turn, led near the eighth pole and was wore down late to finish second best. UNTOLD STORY was off a step slow, raced off the earl pace, made an advance three wide through the far turn, angled out through the upper stretch and moved up to improved position. DEVLISH HOUR stalked the pace, moved up four to five wide through the upper stretch and had not enough in the drive. IRISH DAWN chased the early pace from the inside, raced four deep through the upper stretch and had no final winning bid. IZZY IN A TIZZY off step slow, dropped back early, raced widest through the lane and had no rally. DASTARDLY DEEDS was off slowly, raced towards the outside in the stretch run and never threatened. GLASSATO chased the early pace from the inside and tired. NOTACRY was sent along early to show good early foot and gave way.
