Chart notes
LEADER OF MEN tracked the pace while four wide, was in a hard drive on the far turn to rally in mid stretch and was up at the wire to prevail. ALL WEST lead the way while two wide down the backstretch into the far turn then continued to hold on gamely down the stretch drive but was caught by an outside rival in the end. SOMETHING NATURAL broke inwardly at the start then was in a steady drive while four wide then menaced in upper stretch to close well in the end. PEPPER PIKE chased the pace while in the two path then rallied on the far turn then flattened out in the final furlongs. CALIFORNIA SWING was unhurried early then was gaining ground while five wide to bid on the far turn but came up evenly in the stretch. JOLTING JOE settled along the inside and failed to menace. BIG ONE chased the pace from the inside then was rank entering the far turn, dropped back and eased across the wire.
