Chart notes
FUNKY MUSIC pressured the pace chasing on the turn inheriting a clear when rival bore out into upper stretch angling out in mid stretch ending up in the eight path holding on to the wire. HIKE'S DREAM pressed a narrow lead edging to daylight on the turn bearing out badly into upper stretch ending up in the ten path regrouping late to pressure the winner. PITMAN went evenly through the turn racing four wide into upper stretch using steady response to hold position late. WATTS OF ENERGY chased early then dropped off the leaders on the turn coming six wide in upper stretch giving an even finish. WILD WINE raced evenly in mid pack through the turn moving in the three path in upper stretch lacking surge the final eighth. BAY DEFENSE veered out causing traffic at the break. MISTER RANSOM played no factor. E MOLINARI was pinched between horses at the break. FLAT OUT MIRACLE breaking slowly was always outrun. B THEATRICAL hesitated at the break racing well back early.
