Chart notes
JAY'STALKER bumped soundly with a rival at the start then was sent hard, disputed the pace while several paths inside of a foe, vied along the rail on the turn, was asked coming to the quarter-pole, shook clear into upper stretch, responded well under a right-handed crop under threat from the runner-up into the final furlong and drew off under steady urging. CAPT' REMINGTON bumped soundly with a rival at the start, was coaxed along on the outside in the second flight, chased three then four wide around the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive, pursued the winner under the crop while looming a threat into the final furlong but proved no match while clear for the place. BARONE MARCHIS broke out then was corrected by the rider, was urged along early then settled at the back, started the turn in the two path, shifted four wide outside the five-sixteenths and jostled with MAKART, moved to the five path late on the bend, turned into upper stretch under a drive, held a reasonable striking position into the final furlong but flattened out and settled for the show. MAKART broke a step slow then checked while in tight between horses, spotted the front several lengths, was urged along on the outside, raced in the four path early on the turn, was jostled and forced five wide outside the five-sixteenths, dropped back to the four path outside the quarter-pole and came up empty. DEVIL OR ANGEL broke in front then stumbled about one stride from the gate, chased the pace down the backstretch, saved ground around the turn and tired. MY SLICK NICK disputed the pace on the outside while well out in the track, vied in the four then three path around the turn, dropped back into the stretch and faded.
