READY TO PURRFORM got bumped at the start by DOUBLE CLUTCH due to pressure from CELESTIAL CITY breaking inwards, briefly knocked heads with CHANCEUX before that rival was taken hold and eased off into the first turn, showed the way safely in front under a rating hold patiently handled settled into a comfortable rhythm undisturbed until nearing the quarter pole, took the inside route into upper stretch put to light coaxing, got set down straightened away, edged clear under a drive a furlong from home, dug in and held well to the finish. WIT broke out at the start bumping and squeezing back WOW WHATA SUMMER in tandem with STOLEN BASE who broke inwards, saved ground near the rear of the field patiently handled until placed to coaxing five-sixteenths from home, angled out four wide into upper stretch, then tipped out an additional two paths under a drive straightened away and closed well to the finish while along for the place honors. CELESTIAL CITY broke in at the start bumping DOUBLE CLUTCH awkwardly into READY TO PURRFORM, settled just off the inside in pursuit from mid pack, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, spun two to three wide into upper stretch and offered up a mild kick to secure the show honors. TIZ THE BOMB forwardly placed from the start, bobbled just off the inside into the first turn and settled tracking the leader in closest aim while just off the inside, came under coaxing five-sixteenths from home, took the inside route into upper stretch following the leader into upper stretch, dug in running on to the finish but was outfinished in the late stages. DOUBLE CLUTCH got bumped at the start by CELESTIAL CITY and in turn bumped STOLEN BASE, chased two to three wide coming under coaxing three wide at the five-sixteenths, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under a drive running on to the wire but was outkicked. WOW WHATA SUMMER broke a half a beat slow and was bumped between foes who each broke his way and got squeezed back at the start conceding five to six lengths to the front before settling into stride, saved ground at the tail of the field, tipped two then three wide put to coaxing just past the three-eighths, angled out six wide into upper stretch and showed good courage to improve position when offering up a mild bid to the finish. STOLEN BASE broke in at the start bumping and squeezing back WOW WHATA SUMMER in tandem with WIT who broke outwards, chased just off the inside from near the rear of the field, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, angled five wide into upper stretch and made no impact. CHANCEUX away well to the front, knocked heads briefly in hand with READY TO PURRFORM before being taken hold of and eased off and wrangled into the first turn growing rank and skygazing in protest briefly before settling to track along the inside, remained on hold until placed to brief coaxing near the quarter pole when fading, took the inside route into upper stretch and tired.
