Chart notes
RUTHENIAN traveled along the inside around the first turn, moved out three wide stalking down the backstretch, rated till nearing the quarter pole took over quickly, came home under a very easy hand ride. DUBROVNIK lacked early speed, stalked pace setters down the back stretch, stayed three, four wide around far turn, came under a very strong ride through the stretch, was clearly second best. ONLY CHILD stumbled at the start, raced along the inside around the first turn, stayed inside down the back stretch, asked for best run after leaving the quarter pole, finished even through the lane. HIGHLAND DREAM, stumble at the start, held the lead position till nearing the quarter pole, came under outside pressure, could not quicken with eventual winner, weakened through deep stretch. STARSHIP GOTHAM , wide into first turn, found stalking position five wide down the back stretch, came under urging entering far turn, lost ground around the turn, drifted out deep stretch, no bid late. BYRON'S GOLD broke a step slow, asked backside, outrun.
