SHOOT THEMESSENGER very wide around the first turn, rated well off the pace down the back stretch, split runners at the three eighths pole, four wide pursuit around the turn, remained outside rivals, stayed under a steady drive till clearing inside the sixteenth marker. ROADTRIPTONOWHERE , took control around the first turn, stayed out front down the backside, took all the outside pressure after leaving the quarter pole, shook off one rival, could not hold off late charge from winner, stayed on well under the wire. SOROS dueled around the first turn with ROADTRIPONOWHERE, stayed just off the leader down the back stretch, still in striking position nearing the quarter pole, felt pressure from both sides top of stretch, finished even through the lane. EKATI'S VERVE , raced along the inside around the first turn, saved ground along the inside down the back stretch, finding his best strides split foes at the quarter pole, finished even through the stretch. AKINGISALWAYSKING , wide into first turn, remained wide while stalking down the backstretch, urged on for best run around far turn, drifted out wide, outrun through the stretch. WAR CROSS stalked the leaders around the first turn, moved up along the inside down the backstretch, asked for run entering the far turn, came up empty lane. Rider of ROADTRIPTONOWHERE claimed foul against SHOOT THEMESSENGER in the stretch, after review stewards found no reason for disqualification.
