Chart notes
SAINT TAPIT was hustled from the gate, tracked the pace on the outside, made a bid leaving the backstretch, vied in the four path around the turn, took the lead in the six path into the stretch, responded well while battling with OSBOURNE into the final furlong, shook free from that foe outside the sixteenth-pole and held under strong urging. ANEJO was urged along towards the rear, moved from the rail to the three path around the turn, swung eight wide into the stretch and finished well to garner the place but failed to reach the winner. OSBOURNE settled on the far outside, was roused five wide on the turn, gained to make a seven wide bid into upper stretch, battled outside the winner into the final furlong, lost touch with that foe outside the sixteenth-pole and was outfinished then lost the place while able to get the show. MONEY SUPPLY settled off the pace, was roused three then four wide on the turn, swung seven wide into the stretch, reached a reasonable striking position in the final furlong but lacked the needed kick. AMERICAN GENTLEMAN was away well from the outside post, pressed the pace on the outside, took the lead in the three path at the five-sixteenths, lost the advantage to the winner while floating five wide into the stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened. PRINCE OF PHAROAHS brushed with a foe while away at the front, was well placed under some urging, chased in the two path around the turn, was driven three wide into the stretch, pursued the winner under a drive into the final furlong and tired. HOMETOWN was last to commence, moved up then was coaxed along near the middle of the field, went three wide on the turn, was roused for more nearing the five-sixteenths then driven four wide into the stretch and came up empty. SCILLY CAY brushed the outside of the gate at the start then brushed with a foe, settled at the rear, moved from three to five wide on the turn and failed to respond. FLUID SITUATION was hustled to the front, showed the way down the backstretch, lost the lead at the seven-sixteenths, dropped from the two path to the rail on the turn and stopped.
