Chart notes
SMITHWICK'S SPICE dueled three wide for the early lead, dropped back on the turn, rallied outside in the stretch, gained command at the sixteenth marker and drew clear under urging. PENNSYLVANIA STEEL raced off the pace, advanced on the turn, came three wide into the lane and rallied outside for second. FAIR CATCH raced close up on the rail in the chute, dropped back on the inside, angled out at the eighth pole and rallied between rivals for third. LIKE WHAT I SEE dueled inside for the lead, dueled on the turn, dug in to midstretch, then weakened. STILL HAVING FUN trailed the field, moved up entering the stretch and closed belatedly outside. CRACK SHOT dueled between rivals early, dueled two wide on the turn and faded.
