Chart notes
I'MAGAMBLER prompted the issue while racing three-wide while in hand, took the lead entering the stretch and drew off to win with something left. CHARLIE DYNASTY was reserved off the dueling leaders, rallied four-wide entering the stretch and finished strongly for the place while being unable to reach the winner. FEISTY TOWN was allowed to settle in stride, moved closer while racing two-wide on the turn, slipped through and finished in a mild rally. MR. BIG RIG vied for the lead from along the inside, gained a slight advantage nearing the three-eighths pole, but weakened during the drive. M T S RUNNER dropped back early, came five-wide into the stretch and found his best stride too late. TAB ME OUT saved ground throughout but lacked a rally. RED CHILE raced three-wide and failed to threaten. STELLA WHEAT dueled for the lead from between horses to the far turn where he checked from between horses and gave way. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE INCIDENT INVOLVING STELLA WHEAT, BUT AFTER VIEWING THE FILMS MADE NO CHANGE IN THE ORDER OF FINISH. PER RULING FROM THE NEW MEXICO RACING COMMISSION, MR. BIG RIG WAS DISQUALIFIED FOR A WHIP VIOLATION.
