Chart notes
TOP RECRUIT prompted the pace while three wide, led in the two path going into the stretch, and dug in to hold gamely. CURLY JACK was bumped by an inner foe, tracked from the five path, made a bid from the four path into the lane, and kept on but hung late to place. ROMAN GIANT trailed in the five path, was ridden in the two path going into the stretch, and improved for show. FROSTED DEPARTURE pressed between rivals, was roused from inside at the top of the lane, but faded. ZAICI bumped an outer foe, chased inside but was empty into the stretch. ELI'S PROMISE set the pace from the two path but backed out around the turn.
