Chart notes
OUT OF SIGHT saved ground in midpack along the inside, shifted to the two path around the far turn while intently tracking the leading group, tipped five wide and outside of those foes in upper stretch, rallied with a good kick in the final furlong to bid for the lead leaving the sixteenth pole, and edged ahead. HOME FOR CHRISTMAS stalked along the inside while just off of the top pair, tugged entering the first turn and brushed an outer SPUNGIE, loomed a danger from the pocket around the far turn, aimed to split the embattled leading pair in upper stretch, inched between them approaching the furlong grounds, but steadied briefly when the hole narrowed around him at that marker, tentatively moved forward while regaining momentum soon after, produced a bid in the final sixteenth while brushing an inner foe, but was outfinished by an outer rallying rival late while gaining place. MY LIPS ARE SEALED pressed the leader from the outside, bid turning for home, vied while a path away from her inner counterpart in upper stretch, sparred well into the final furlong, but was outkicked by an outer foe while losing place to an inner rival nearing the wire. LADY THORNHILL settled far back two wide, tipped six wide in upper stretch, but hung on her left lead through midstretch, changed over entering the final sixteenth, and moved up late. SPUNGIE was brushed by an inner rival into the first turn while tracked two wide, tipped outside of the top pair at the three furlong pole while just off their flanks, floated four wide in upper stretch, chased into midstretch, progressed in the final furlong as an outer OUT OF SIGHT ranged up alongside, threatened a bid nearing the final sixteenth, but flopped back to his left lead at that marker, quickly stalled out, and hung for a minor share. PALACE GOSSIP set the pace in the two path, then along the inside around the far turn before meeting MY LIPS ARE SEALED's challenge nearing the lane, gamely resisted that foe through upper stretch, maintained an advantage inside the final furlong, but was brushed by an outer rival at the sixteenth pole, and readily gave way. CHOOSE HAPPINESS broke a step slowly while brushing the gate, trailed early on, swung to the seven path in upper stretch, and narrowed the gap on the main group. INSTINCTIVE got antsy in the gate awaiting the start, sat reserved along the inside, and never got involved. PAY GRADE broke a bit slowly, raced in midpack three to two wide around the first turn, but faded three wide around the far turn, was done early, and eased through the lane.
