Chart notes
QUICK RETURN showed good speed on the inside of a foe, was eased back outside the five-eighths then switched to the outside, moved up to make a bid with a half-mile to run, vied in the three path around the turn, gained the advantage coming to the quarter-pole, kicked clear while still on his inside lead in upper stretch, swapped to the proper lead outside the furlong marker and drew away under a strong hand-ride to prove much the best. WINNING DRIVE was hustled from the gate, moved out under urging early then settled off the pace, went three then two wide under coaxing around the turn, dropped to the rail in upper stretch and safely secured the place while no match for the winner. O'TROUBLE was hustled from the start, moved out outside the five-eighths then tracked the pace on the outside, chased four wide around the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and tired while able to get the show. CASALSA displayed good speed, moved clear when the winner was eased back outside the five-eighths, was challenged by that foe at the half-mile pole, vied in the two path while under threat on the turn, lost the advantage approaching the quarter-pole and gave way. MANIFEST DESTINY settled well behind while on the far outside, angled in leaving the backstretch, saved ground on the turn, turned into upper stretch under urging and failed to threaten.
