Chart notes
SAFFA'S DAY , away in good order, disputed the pace three wide outside DISCO BALL, moved to a slim lead near the quarter pole, edged clear under right handed asking leaving the furlong grounds then held firm while being steadily hand ridden through the final yards. ALBIZU , brushed at the break, was hustled along four to five wide chasing the dueling leaders, circled five wide into the lane and kept on grinding to gain the place. DISCO BALL dueled two wide and to the inside of the winner while holding the early advantage, was headed near the quarter pole, fought on past mid stretch then gave way grudgingly. SPEIGHT AND MALICE , towards the inside stalking the pace, eased out under pressure into the lane but failed to follow through late. OCTOPUS stalked the leaders three to four wide, was pushed along mid turn, stayed in touch past mid stretch but came up empty. CALIFORNIA STREET lagged back, raced four to five wide heading to the lane but failed to menace. EL DIABLO ROJO saved ground into the lane and finished evenly. HANDSOME CAT rated close up while off the inside, had aim between foes into the lane and gave way.
